2 eggs out of 4 laying hens. One laid in the nesting box and the other laid outside by some pine trees an acre away from the coop.. I watched her do it.

4 out of 5 today and three yesterday. My 5 year old Salmon Faverolles is no longer squatting and hasn’t laid for nearly a week so she’s probably done for the season. That’s ok, she did really well all spring and summer.

2 chicken, 3 duck. some of the girls that started laying stopped again I think due to a unsuccessful hawk attack (no injury or loss) probably stressed them out. hawk knows it has no chance of a meal here so appears to have moved on

I had 7 one is very green but banty size right now that is a bonus. I have one customer that will be happy to have bantry size he uses them as pickled eggs

That’s not an old bag at all is it? At second glance it looks a lot like Sycamore leaves.

More likely maple, we’ve got a couple around the yard. It was tucked way back under an old washing machine.
