7 yet again today. Great number. Was almost 6, til one of the ladies uncovered a burried egg while making a custom fitted crater to lay in lol
11 tonight big girls, 1 at banty the frizzle.
Other things you can do with eggs.
Art.. blow them out decorate them, paint on them, carve, etch them, collage them, turn them into ornaments.
make 100 year old eggs
crush shells and feed back to hens
crush and into the garden beds
dye raw or not, blow out, let dry, and fill with seeds, lavender, rose petals, paper confetti, little sayings (fortunes), prayers, poem etc and give away to friends and family at Easter to smash on each other’s heads or in case of seeds a fun way to give out garden seed for spring
Create Spring Egg Wreaths or display baskets for friends as gifts…
use egg shells as pots fir starting seeds
Eggnog, hollandaise sauce, omelettes, add to stews such as Doro Wat and Curries, egg drop soup, fried rice, put in a pantie hose and spin to turn egg inside out inside the shell so when you boil it the yolk is on the outside and white in the middle… shakshuka, huevis rancheros, fried corn Tortilla strips (cut up corn tortillas and fry) in scrambled eggs with diced hotdog, spam, bacon or sausage. Oeufs en meurette, scotch egg, mush-mash, meringue toped deserts, flan, rice pudding, polish stuffed eggs, eggs on steamed rice, sabich, bacon and egg pie, scrambled egg in seaweed or rice rolls, the list is long I even have a recipe for lasagna that uses eggs…
make egg noodle pasta
coat with mineral oil and store large end up in refrigerator for 2-3 months

Just 2 eggs today. I’m fighting with 2 broodies now, at least one of them actually laid an egg today. Nests are closed for the night so we’ll see how they do at bedtime.
