Ya I've had that happen a time or two if I get rough with moving/carrying the bucket.
I have a youngster that helps so the main issue is getting him to gently put them in the bucket and not just dropping them in.
I also don't always use one big bucket. When I'm hatching I have a combination of hatchers, eaters and throwers so I use different smaller buckets and plastic egg flats.
