1 is a Lgt Brama and I heard that they take forever to start

I have a light brahma I'm waiting on! I don't expect anything from her until March/April, but her wattles are starting to come in and she has been looking a bit red in the face! Idk if she's just teasing me! How old was yours when she started? Mine is 19 weeks now.

She hasn't yet. She is one of the ones I am waiting on LOL. Slacker! She is 24 wks old and has been very red the last few weeks too. But not a lot of comb or waddles yet...just red.

Oh I totally misunderstood that! Yea there's not a lot to her comb and wattles, but they're surfacing lol. Shouldn't be all too much longer!

NONE - NONE...I have 6 hens, 5 of them pullets and NO ONE IS LAYING. I think I have been chosen to have the only non- laying flock in North America!

They have bright combs, beautiful feathers, and the rooster is beginning to pay them some attention... but Nada! NOTHING UGH!

I have 13 new girls 20-25 @weeks. one is laying and five more are squatting. The others comb and waddles are getting redder by the day. Barred Rocks, Buff O's and RI Reds are the ones ready to go. Golden Laced Wy and Americas are slower getting red combs.
My first time with RI Reds. The two i have are cuddle monkeys. The golden laced Wyandottes are not impressing me. Most of them were sold to me as speckled Sussex but turned out to be GLW. They may go in a pot when i got some Sussex located .
