Well it is August. I previously said that by August my new birds will either be laying or crowing.
We ended up with just ONE that crows! I feel pretty darn lucky there!

We are up to 16-18 eggs a day from 24 possible! Half my flock is over 5-6 years so 16-18 is pretty spectacular in my opinion.

Seven month old BLK AUS 4 for 4 and getting larger. Five month olds, 1 for 3 and a ping pong ball size. Already giving eggs to family.

5 yesterday, and the littles roosted on to od the dog crate instead of piling inside! They are growing up

Out of twenty or so hens, the egg production has been around three-to-five a day. They are slowing down because of the excessive heat.
