2 again. I believe that some of the girls are going through a molt. They’re only 8 months old but they are looking pretty rough

Only another month till the winter solstice, then the days get longer!

Ha, I'm being hyperbolic, but it certainly feels that short! I've never paid much attention to winter solstice, but chickens will certainly change that. Cannot wait!

Back up to 5 today, Martha's blue, one of the Eggers' green and 3 browns. Better than yesterday's two... Darker days, they're all in the coop for bedtime at 5:05 pm today.

No eggs. Sunset 4pm today. 3 of the girls just missing their tails now.

Been looking on time and date. In prudhoe bay the sun sets tomorrow and won't be back until January. I hope your all south of there.

7 eggs on Tuesday! Problem was, one was in the hay in the run. I stepped on it, not looking down. Still, the girls are consistent with 4-7 eggs. Not bad for a flock of 12.
