Just 2 eggs today. Août has laid 30 days consistently. Super chicken!

When I found Mei’s egg in the nest box, I got so excited thinking she’d stopped laying from the roost bar, but no. She had just successfully bounced it in there from across the coop! :lau
 
We had six on the 29th and another 6 on the 30th, just in time to deliver a very fresh dozen to my daughter who hosted us for New Years & had asked if I could spare more eggs. (I also took a tray of 18 deviled eggs, and the 4 of us devoured them all during the party.)

Martha's blues and the Eggers' greens keep on coming, though Martha and Elsie took today off; only 4 eggs 12/31 and 3 today, Edna's green & 2 browns. The other girls must've partied too hard over the holiday to keep up with production...🎆🎇🍾🥂🐔

We got 2 so far. Hubby brought these in before he left for work.

Feed store chicks only marked Marans pullets. 8 months old now. I think they are Midnight Majesty Marans. Feed store uses Hoover's Hatchery.
I have a couple Black Copper Marans also but they are not laying right now.
