How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Both of the currently laying Wyandottes have made their rent payments today. Still waiting on the mystery new layer. They are all currently out free ranging the yard so hopefully the new girl knows enough to go back inside if the urge hits again today.

I considered keeping them in the run today but the weather is really nice for January and a wanted to do some cleaning not a deep cleaning just roosting bars, nest boxes dumped and refilled, and some spot cleaning in the coop. It’s just easier if they are out in the yard while I’m doing the coop cleaning.

4 today! Juillet did not take a break. It was 34° outside when I let the girls out to play. They don’t mind it, but as I have to supervise their field trips around the yard, I decided to cut their foraging time a bit short. 45 minutes in the cold is my limit!

9 today, unless I get a surprise late egg when I lock up in a few minutes! Thats a new high since summertime!

7 today, 2 blue and 5 brown. No chocolate eggs today and my FBCM is usually very reliable. She lays when nobody else does!

Edit, oops I put 2 blue and 7 brown, not paying attention, ha!

3 today. One of my girls lays a banded egg about once a week. I usually also get a thin shelled egg the same day. Plus the other hen also laid her egg.
