6 today! Looks like 2 pullet eggs and FOUR of my old girls are back to laying! I wonder if they intimidated the young girls and that’s why pullet count was so low…

Doubtful. Pullets are often kind of spotty at first.

Went in to let the ladies out this morning and saw a tiny blue egg in the run from yesterday! Someone didn’t quite make it, lol.

"Outta my way, I've GOTTA lay!...Ooops..." (Lesson to pullet: When you feel it comin', don't wait too long.)

I thought my Egger Edna might do that because she kept trying to settle in a nest box 2 days ago while I was cleaning out their coop: complaining loudly about the lack of privacy, going outside, coming back, over & over - real sense of urgency! And as soon as I finished and closed up, she was hunkered down in the nest box and laid in record time. (Luckliy no pretty green egg laid out in the rain puddles or damp wood chips.)

Five eggs today, the 3 Rainbow girls all laid their blue & green eggs, plus 2 browns. So three brown-egg girls skipped today. [They're spoiling me...I expect an egg drought next winter after they have their first molt.]
