1 egg from our light brahma. Still no goose eggs.

My Muscovy duck did not let me down so I got one again today. Just happy to get the one since it is February.

3 today, though one of the eggs is a mystery. I know Août and Juin laid, but whose egg is this?



It looks the color of Mei’s eggs, but the greyish speckling makes me think it’s Juillet’s, as she often pops out pretty strange rough eggs with heavy bloom when she starts up after a break. She also had a red face today, when all week it’s been pretty pale. No matter whose it was, I think it’s quite pretty. The bottom half looks slightly purple!

I got 4 out of 5 today, yesterday and the day before that. The previous 2 days I got 3 out of 5.

[16 and me]

Only my little pullet laid 1 yesterday, but today I got 5 again. All blue and olive eggs. All the brown layers are taking an extended break. Annie, Lucy & Goldie were all in and out of the nest boxes all morning, but none followed through. The rooster is mating them & Becky now, so I know they're ready. There are another 3 still holding out. And another 4 pullets that are likely to start end of February.
