How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

For the first time 2 out of last three days 3! Out of three barred rocks. All three I have are now laying. Got them in June and one stopped for winter and one wasn't laying yet and now all three are. Very exciting and while two weeks ago I'd fill up a small bowl a week I now fill it up in a few days. The best thing is they are so excited and lively when I go outside now. I know three isn't much for many but theyre my first chickens and I'm so happy all three are thriving and providing me with eggs. I've learned egg salad is going to be a staple now with what were getting.

It is egg-citing, isn't it?!

The Dominiques are suddenly losing their pullet look...filling out! And bigger than the Sussex, which are 6 weeks older.

Oh, wow, I just realized...today is my Sussex' hatch-day, they're one year old!

2 for me - 1 green and 1 white. I found a small stash of 5 green eggs in the liriope a few days ago
