Three perfect days in a row now, 7 eggs from 7 hens. I'm impressed with the girls! They all seem to like the fir needle bedding I put in the nest boxes yesterday.

I'm going to give them a roasted chicken leg quarter as thanks later on today.

2 from the Golden girls. I think Jade might be trying to go broody on me. She was again sitting on the eggs.

5 today, from Mei, Juin, Juillet, Août and then Mei again!

Both of Mei’s eggs were laid from the roost early this morning, one with a soft shell, the other perfectly normal and uncracked. She apparently felt cheated out of her time in the nest box though, and is spending the afternoon in there pretending she needs to lay again. She has always loved to lounge around!

17 today, but one had a brittle shell and broke in my hands yuck!

But the girls enjoyed it a treat and I threw the shell down the barn aisle and it was a rugby match hahaha!

Oh gosh too cute, Teddy sleeps with his head hanging down that cannot be comfortable!

Well I better get out there and move everyone around and feed the horses.
