How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

1 already today, found when I went to let the girls out for the day. This one had a small calcium deposit stuck to it.
And 1 more around noon, with both Banty hens trying to sit on it.

2 from the GC girls. Found the Banty hens sitting one one egg apiece. I chased the Banty hens out of the nest box where they squawked at me and got all puffed up. Photobomb by Bossy.

Awww such beauties and nice eggs also. Broodies are so funny, I am terrified of my one pullet Tippy, talk about the evil eye! The glare she gave me last night was just freaky!

Got 6 clean eggs today.

And I just finished rigging up a sliding door on the chicken coop. It ain't purty, but it'll do the job. LOL
Now I can lock the girls up in the evening without having to go into the run and screw on a piece of plywood.

Just 15 today as 6 are broody, one has chicks and another 4 went to live with a nice and helpful neighbour. He fell in love

Planted out my peppers and resowed my parsnips today (the previous sowing never came up). My husband saw how hard I was working and decided to take over as chicken shepherd for me again, so the girls still got some time to run around
