I've read that you can blow an egg empty, refill it with yellow mustard and let the chicken attempt to eat it. I don't know if it works, though.
Roll away nest boxes are another option.

Chickens love mustard so from what I've seen, that doesn't work.

A friend has a hen that eats them, and she made a new box that has a sort of roll away part where the egg goes into but the hens can't get to them. She's had none eaten by the girls for nearly a year

Only two today. I have two ducks and they laid 2 for me so I guess that will be 4!

I have another hen gone broody, so we'll be rationing eggs I guess...we were only getting 2-3 daily as it was. Oh well.
