See if someone is is building a nest outside ?So this seems very odd to me. The girls have slacked off laying lately. They don’t seem to be moulting, or at least it’s going very slowly. We’ve been getting at best one egg a day for a couple weeks now. But there seems to be more fairy eggs and soft shelled eggs lately. I keep oyster shell available at all times and they get a 17%layer feed, plus free range time daily.
Today I found this tiny soft shelled egg, along with a busted soft shelled egg.
One of the Banty hens recently went AWOL, and while I managed to catch her we never found the nest. I suspect she was sitting on some I fertilized eggs, but we never isolated where she was hiding. I caught her with treats I was giving to the others and she came running up for her share. I have checked under the enclosed trailer she seemed to be coming from about six times, but no eggs or nest. We have checked every place I’ve ever seen her hanging out and under every bush, or spot of cover we can find to no avail.See if someone is is building a nest outside ?
