How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I got 5 and this is one.

The chickens did good this morning. All six gave me an egg including the infrequent giant one.

Looks like I may be up to 4 soon. One of the giants and the Orpington are sitting in nesting boxes currently

2 today, from Juin and Juillet.

Août hasn’t laid in almost a week now, and she was full of energy today! I think she’s finally done for the season, and can let her body recover. It made me so happy to see her running around the yard today with her tail as high as can be!

So I went out to the coop today, to check on baby and momma. Everyone was under the Wichhazel bush and the pines. (the St. John's wort bush is the other hideout).

I didn't see baby and started to panic... then momma pulled back her wing.

Sis found two eggs yesterday afternoon. I found a four foot rat snake when I closed up the coop. Me and the nephew caught him and hauled him off to the woods, near a pond about 1/4 mile away from the house.
