How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Two first thing this morning when I went to open the house and let them out;

One was warm, one cold haha. LOVING the speckling and the light pink color

On the chickenCam there is a ton of activity and I'm hearing egg song so I will update if I get more today (at least 4 usually) I have 6 laying girls and 11 not-yet-laying girls.

I am still super surprised that it is THIS FUN to be expecting eggs

Also slightly worrying as they free range on pasture and half of them hop the fence to hang out in a hedge all day. I had my husband oil the chainsaw so I could go clear out the dead branches in the hedge to make it easier for me to scope out lol (it's a bigass hedge)

My cam is at the absolute STRETCH of it's wifi reach and has a tough time connecting 24/7 but gonna pour over the history and see if I can see who is laying the blue egg!

The olive one is from Chocolate, a Starlight Green Egger and the perfect brown is from Jane, a Jersey Giant

Beautiful eggs

I found a cache of 18 lovely blue eggs behind a gate in the barn last week; I chucked them in the manure pile as I didn’t know how long they were there.

2 dozen between yesterday and today.

I have at least 8 moulting and a few more that look like they are thinking about starting. Of course. why not? It’s supposed to start snowing - let’s get nekked!

Poor Misty she lays gorgeous blue/green eggs when she isn’t moulting.
