I got three.

The girls dropped 4 eggs into the nest today. One was long and skinny. I dumped the last 1/3 of a bag of layer pellets into their feeder and locked them up early in the secure run/coop area.

I got 1 from Betty yesterday. Pretty warm here today so they might get some watermellon later.

Been a while since I last posted here. 2 eggs today. The ladies are struggling with Daylight Saving Time. Just like me.

Yep it’s dark 4:30pm now

13 eggs today, one was a brittle egg from my silkie Marty, she is only laying sporadically these days and her eggs are brittle.

And of course a small one from the new silkie pullet; where oh where is Mrs Little Chicken the OEGB bantam laying???? Tomorrow I must haul the barn apart and find them!

None today!

We had our first frost yesterday morning, and it was cold today as well, so perhaps it affected their hormones. It certainly affected their appetites! They are eating every bit of their food now, instead of being picky and leaving the split peas and flax meal.
