ooh update, went to clean the poop tables like every morning and ta da! Sophia had laid in the nest box!

I'm proud of her! <3

OHHHHHHH HOW WRONG I WAS BWAHAHAHHAHAHHA

Found this in the shed near our bachelor pad with our roosters -- they live in the tractor + pens up under the shed and there is a large wood pile in the corner... and today we were bringing another pen up to the boys to expand their pen even more (they don't get to free range and we feel bad about it so we're giving them even MORE space) and so Custard was hanging out with us, chillin with the guys....

I saw her hop up over the metal sheeting and then my husband was looking for her and he was like "She's sitting down, she's laying down" and so we moved some of the wood bits and she moved, of course and there you have it... WE DIED LAUGHING!!!! BWAHAHHAHA

So now we will just check there as well as the nests. It's nbd lol

Honestly we were amazed all the animals I see on the daily on our cameras at night never found it.

No eggs today! I saved enough for pumpkin pie and rosemary bread tomorrow though, so I won’t complain

I found an abandoned rooster at Walmart. He was so sweet but he wouldn't come to me so I had my daughter call animal control but we had to call the police department to get someone out to get him. It makes me angry that people could be so cruel to a poor defenseless animal.
