I don't actually have a photo of the eggs :O

My potential naughty Maran, Sophia who did not lay yesterday - but sometimes perhaps Marans can skip 2 days?? I do not know, I only know that they can only lay 3x ( to 4x) a week and if it was 4, that'd be every other day, but 3 would be a 2 day skip.

SO TODAY IS THE DAY if I discover she is laying in the hedge! bwahahahhahaha

My Marans have at times laid 7 days a week. In fact Août, my Blue Cuckoo Marans, had a long streak when she first started laying, I believe it was 35 days without stopping. When she is in lay, it seems like she averages 5-6 eggs a week. Juillet, my Silver Cuckoo Marans, lays more like 5 a week, but she seems to have a harder time laying. I’m sure they’ll slow down as they get older, but that was in their first year of lay.

No pictures today as I had to leave early and my sister checked for eggs. Only one from the Golden girls today. No Banty eggs in a week or so.
