I have had a rescue chicken for two weeks. Found two frozen eggs today. Our first eggs and first time with chickens!

That’s wonderful. I have rescued pets myself. Have an old rescue horse now. She is 24 today! Thoroughbred horses all turn another yr older on January first, even if they were born July 1st.

Reenie’s real birth date is 18 February 2001.

I am happy with that number. Come prime laying and I will have more than I know what to do with again.

I'm so proud. The pullets were born June 17 and are just beginning to lay.

Got 2 eggs today. I think my hen with crossed beak finally started laying eggs, she is 9 months old now.

Just closed the coop and found 2 more eggs. Todays total is now 8!
