They LOVE each other now, haha I think the little chicks think those ducklings are mama :D :D :D :D

The Ducklings MAKE SO MUCH MESS with the water, I took out the regular waterer and gave the nipple one -- they can use it but... I felt bad so now there is both types in there and omg.. they LOVE the regular waterer and just splash around and make such a fuss, I guess brooding baby ducks just means extra $$ for more bedding lololol
That's adorable 😍 🥰. I just got ducklings on Friday because TSC sold out of chicks. I'm going to get a silkie rooster on Thursday.

@thistlewick, you don't just have nipple waterers for the ducklings, right? You know they have to dunk their nares to eat? At least I believe that's the case ... ?
No, they can use nipple waterers as well as dipping. So there are both in there, but they just spill all over making a mess, is all I was saying.

edit; I basically told my husband that we will just cover the cost of a couple extra bales of bedding until they can free range lolol

So cute!

It may have been mentioned already, but many people use pans with cooling racks over them. They put the waterers on top so the water falls into the pan through the rack, and so they can't get to the water.

With my ducklings I cut a hole out of a milk jug and there was less mess compared to a regular chick waterer.
