6 from 6. I let Mister out to free range and thought it would help with integration but unfortunately I came inside to check on dinner and he wandered too close to the dog outside and she killed him. I'm really about ready to just put a bullet in my 22 and put her down. I'm also mad at myself for letting him out.

3 eggs at 6am, 8 eggs at 11am, and 6 eggs at 8pm. So, probably 14-15? We have fifteen Easter eggers in the US. I must have missed some night layers when I checked at approximately 6:30 pm on previous days.

We got 19 eggs today. 1 was a pullet egg from a pullet we just adopted from a good friend that had gotten some pullets from me awhile back. He brought over what he was told was an Easter Egger. I think she is an Olive Egger as her egg was Olive Drab in color. Same as an old Army Jeep. He said she was an egg eater and wanted her gone. I put her in a pen of a solitary small game rooster that fell in love with her at first site. She tolerates him...

15 yesterday! Someday I'll get my 17/17

We are extending the brooder in the hen house -- the ducklings are MASSIVE and while the 3x4 space is still big enough for them, the 3x8 space will be even better for them to grow up in before feathering out and letting them out to free range.

NOT as soon as I let my other girls out, though - learned my lesson about Cooper's Hawks already ><

Though, to be fair, it has made my flock incredibly Hawk savvy, they are amazing at it now and really know what to do. So they will teach any young ones that join the flock and hopefully the knowledge will be passed down. But yeah, not too small roaming around.

I build the second (white) door myself, this is why it's crooked I absolutely do NOT care, it is functional and cute.

Today's business is extending it by removing the hwc in the middle there, and moving the water bin out into the new section.

THEY LOVE IT btw, the chicks, the ducklings, big huzzah from them all. They don't seem to mind the squishy puddle of bedding INSIDE the bin LOLOL
