2 again. My cream legber and the other ISA. Sime pullets have been investigating nesting boxes because they keep kicking out the nesting material

3 eggs today, from Helmi, Marzo and Juillet

Finally got Helmi’s bumblefoot scab off. The Tricide Neo had healed the infection beneath the scab, but we couldn’t know until we managed to get the thing off. Seems like both her and Ebrel are going to be all healed up soon!

Marzo had some sort of crop issue this morning, and was looking distressed. Seems like whatever it was wrong resolved itself after we gave her some treats to get her eating (her crop was empty, but she was shifting it around like there was a blockage). Anyway, she was all better in a few hours, laid a lovely egg and had a nice rest of the day. I’m so glad!

My hens have been laying behind a bale of straw.
I thought a chicken was stuck behind it, and when I moved her, I found them.
A dozen eggs, frozen. Little buggers.

That was a treasure fine! lol

I actually got one egg on Christmas Day! Nothing more. It’s just too rainy and dark in Oregon right now. I was very surprised to get that one. lol

Two of my girls died this past year. Not sure why. I have two left and they are laying daily. I free range them and looked up potential toxic plants/weeds. Seems I have a few of those weeds. But then they go out for the past three years. So go figure.

They generally won't eat toxic plants, I wouldn't worry sbout it.
