Indeed, this year they are driving me insane! Non-stop broodies left and rightThat is nuts!!
Do you have any other chickener friends who might appreciate broody-hatched eggs? (and then take them right back immediately!)

What happened? Did a predator get access?10 from the gang here have not counted how many birds are left.
Fingers crossed!have a pip in the one egg!!!
I got her from Coastal who is supplied by Hoovers. I really hope the other two in the pic who were sold as EE will give me color.Congratulations! That first egg is exciting!
Where did you get her from? I will say, she doesn't look like an Easter Egger to me. She looks more like a Sapphire Gem, Blue Rock, or something. Which explains the brown egg!
Yay!! Won’t be long now!Well, I candled this morning and I saw movement and the outline of the chick?! Unless I got the eggs mixed up? But I did candle all and saw movement in all, one I wasn't sure on (maybe it was that one?), but I did see some movement. I swear it was the right egg though. Not sure when I can candle next because...

Other direction. They bring you the eggs, then take back the chicks. This is just speculation on my part, though. It’s the first part of the frequent advice to “give her some fertilized eggs to sit on.” I *think* that minimizes risk to your flock of introducing disease.Indeed, this year they are driving me insane! Did you propose for me to lend the broody until hatch and then take her back leaving the chicks behind?
