love they type and they copper quality .is there cockerels running with them I can see the feathers on they back is damaged , never keep a pullet with cockerels or rooster very bad practice . pullets need to grow by them selves so they develop they full body type .The hens look pretty big too.
You very done great . Nice quality pullets we don't t want they growth to be stun by cockerelsThere were, that’s why they were being butchered. I should’ve done it a week ago.
Not sure if you can see but one of my FCM hens has started to get white around beak and on the wattle. Does anyone know what this is?

in this 2 photos her hackle look more golden type rather than copper type plus the photo making her earlobe look white ,look like this 2 photos are doing her justice . we need to see better one please.View attachment 4306558View attachment 4306559I must say I’m quite guilty of overlooking Joannie, but she was looking lovely in these photos I took a few weeks ago.
In other news, my silkies keep threatening to go broody. If one commits next week (which I’m sure one will), I may set some SCMxBCM eggs. I got a random egg from Channel last week so would like her to lay some more to get another cockerel from her.
does appear on few of my chooks when it is hot and humid but always goes away ,never bother me .and I don t know what causing it never looked into it ,maybe it is time to do so ,Not sure if you can see but one of my FCM hens has started to get white around beak and on the wattle. Her lobes aren’t white, her hackles are paler than her sister’s though. I’d also say her legs are a tad too dark (they look fully slate in the photo but are white with lots of shading).in this 2 photos her hackle look more golden type rather than copper type plus the photo making her earlobe look white ,look like this 2 photos are doing her justice . we need to see better one please.
hope some Silkies will go broody and Channel lay you more eggs .
