I got 5 eggs from 8 hens. It's been slow for a while. Not sure what's going on. They turned 1 in August?

Got 18 BA eggs and 3 banties. Now have 4 dozen in fridge. Sign in the yard for one week, not the first buyer has stopped. Took 4 dozen into work Wednesday to sell. Gave each of the dogs a raw egg on their food last night. Looks like I'll be feeding more eggs to the dogs and back to the chickens than I'll sell. I can eat an egg sandwich every night and boiled egg for lunch daily, but hubbie won't!

Good thing i just love having these girls around to talk to.

Well......... the sign I made was pitiful, so Dh is going to make me another one tomorrow, I'll let ya know how it goes

We got 2 eggs today from 3 that are laying so far. Granddaughter's little EE has not given us her second egg yet. Today she kept going in and out of the nesting box, fluffing the wood chips and rolling the golf ball under her. Maybe they will all three lay tomorrow.

Today's take 7/18........8/18 yesterday but I gathered at noon today and may yet get one more...got one laying in mid-afternoon...
Started giving the girls scratch grains today for a treat, they all follow me to the grain barn to see what i'm doing and hoping to get inside to investigate what's there so I throw a scoop of scratch grain outside the door and that keeps em out....earlier this month I managed to lock one in for a day...
