How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

11 eggs but 2 were cracked beyond keeping

3 out of 3 layers. One light brown, one dark brown, and one green. 25 still just thinking about it. Some of those 25 won't be old enough for several weeks, but 2 are doing the squat.

Ok Sunday I didn't collect eggs (worked about 10 hours, got home way late) but generally my Leghorns take Sundays off from laying.

Monday morning I got 4 eggs, and 2 of them were from my Redstar Queenie so I guess she laid on Sunday for sure.

Then later in the day I got two more white eggs for a total of 4 Leghorn eggs today. One was somewhat smaller and I'm wondering if my 4th Leghorn named Houdini FINALLY started laying??? (she's 25 weeks, her sisters started at 20 weeks)

but since someone could have laid on Sunday I guess I won't know for sure until I collect 3 white eggs all from the same morning.

hehehe anyway, I collected 6 eggs today, from 3 or 4 laying pullets, but they could have laid some of them yesterday.

My laying flock consists of 29 hens and one 17wk old pullet, not yet laying. I got 4 eggs today, a record low for us. Many are finishing molts, though. Takes alot of "juice" to grow those feathers back!
The two breeding flocks together have 8 hens. Got 5 eggs from them today.

I GOT 4 TODAY!!! I have 10 pullets that are 22 weeks. I think my 3 sex links and one EE (pretty green egg) are the layers.

Not my red leghorns -- no white eggs. I don't think it would be my Jersey Giants or my Brahmas because they mature a little slower.

Got 3 more EEs and two Partridge Rocks reaching 19 weeks. They will probably be next.

Got 6 golden comets that are 17 weeks now. Some of them are getting bright red combs and wattles.

Soooooo......although I am happy with 4 eggs today, soon I will be getting many more than that, I hope.
