How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Another hen of mine in laying.
So my EE and my Black Sexlink are now laying. so a egg every other day from my girlse

The last two days I've gotten five eggs from my six Red Sex Links and they are 5 months old, prior to that it has been four a day.

I was shocked when I went through my calendar where I track daily the number of eggs that we get. Our 10 hens started laying on 6-14-09 and to date we have gotten 623 eggs! Now if we had been able to sell all the eggs at $3.00 per dozen we would have made about $156.00 - a small contribution to the overall cost of having the girls around - but they are doing their part and who can put a price on having the best pets going. Besides they do make us breakfast!

4 eggs this morning. I caught my 17 week golden comet laying when I went to the coop today. I guess that is 2 sex links, 1 EE and 1 golden comet laying so far.

9/18 today but I just heard a hens egg song, it's five pm.....
Watched my grey cat stalk a hen today, hens are faster than cats....I scolded him and gave him a warning......
Checked egg boxes when I shut the coop up for the night, two more eggs...yay....11/18
