3/12 I had to wrestle one from a broody Silkie that keeps trying to steal an EE egg. This cold is getting real old.

10/23 my ol' gals don't like the cold either and I don't blame them a bit. Just glad I've still got some faithful layers out there.

5/6 pretty good since I've never yet had a 6 egg day and they've only been laying 2-3 a day for a couple of weeks.

19 out of 19 from my Gold Comets!!! Way to go, Gals!!! It's getting colder here in the Carolinas and I've been expecting egg production to drop but my Gals keep on going! They're all GC's pullets from 7 to 11 months old now. Great Layers. And I've notice lately they are laying these great big extra large to jumbo size eggs. Anyways, happy chickens come from Statesville, North Carolinas!!!

25 last night...all mostly frozen. Made a great over easy egg. White cooked through and egg yolk was perfectly runny for dippin'. I think I found the answer to perfectly cooked over easy eggs.

I'm hoping I get at least another half dozen. I was running late this morning for work, so I didn't get a chance to check. I'm just so excited to have eggs again!
