How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

2/5 - big day for me since mine have just this past week come of age.

Second egg from my little red bantam, Lucille - both of them laid at approximately 3:30; is this going to be her regular schedule? She sure is a drama queen too. Starts with the egg song around 8:30 and multiple loud singing trips in and out of the coop. The Australorp, Mattie who laid the other one today was even worse. I was afraid the neighbors were going to complain. LOL - no one would 'cause the ones that matter know that when production kicks in on a regular basis, they will benefit with fresh eggs. I'm so tickled that my little girls have started to lay

1 egg from 8 darn hens! BUT... that's better than it has been. We've been 0/8 for a long time. My own fault for not setting up a light but...

Today we got 9 eggs from 10 hens! Woo hoo! They are all 39-40 weeks old and we are supplementing their light.

Looks like mine have dialed in on 12 ,I'm going to leave the light off because during the summer months they lay everyday and they deserve a break

She was huge, too, and I was beginning to think SHE was a HE. Her eggs are huge, and were never pullet sized to start.

For today: 9 out of13 hens. Seems to be the going rate
