How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Hooray! First egg arrived early this AM. We don't know which lady laid but are relieved to know we are on the way to being real chicken keepers.

50 eggs out of 74 hens some just starting to lay

Not bad for them.
I usually get 7 now days.
Cannot keep up with my household and everyone wanting to buy from us.

6 eggs from 7 pullets. Mine just started laying. Everyday this week we've gotten one more egg than the day before. Hoping tomorrow we have 7 in the nestbox!

Two from two! Yesterday our Barred Rock started laying for the first time.... just a wee bit smaller than the Black Sex Link eggs we've had.. but she's on a two day run now! yippeeeee!

I collected 7 eggs in the morning, one for each bird, and when I put everybody "to bed" for the night, there were more eggs on the nesting shelves! Somebody's doing double duty, which seems odd considering it is WINTER!
