4 today and it would have been 4 yesterday if I didn't step on one which then caused me to drop another

I can proudly say I got 2 chickens eggs yesterday my little [real bantam] hillbilly, and my Salmon Faverolle so things are looking up! Now if this ice would just melt. Still no duck eggs yet.

Sometime in the far future there will be some bantam chickens for me and in a very near future there will be a lot of duck eggs for you. - Blanca Duck told me all that today, but i think she thinks that "Bantam Chicken" is something tasty to eat!

I’ve done that so many times they are so good at hiding them and smoothing over the shavings to make it look like all the rest. I call them booby traps

Hope you do, my Muscovy are not near as prolific at egg laying as my other domestic. They will lay long enough to lay what they consider a clutch then they take breaks. Their main goal is to lay brood raise an start all over again lol

Be patient and you will be swamped with duck eggs. And ducklings!

Maybe not the smallest bantam breed, like the Seebright, even though they're my favorites. It will be more likely some uncomplicated breed like Easter Eggers, Buff Orpington or Rhode Islands Reds.
And Blanca will have to accept that they're no edible rodents… Who knows, maybe she will become their best duck-friend, once she discovers that chicken can scratch up the ground and expose tasty worms.

Got fourteen eggs today! Twelve normal size duck eggs and two Bantam Xicken eggs. It seems that more and more of the Fall Ducklings are starting to pay rent.
