Well that must have been interesting. lol
Last winter my 8 older girls never stopped to the point that I was worried for them. As the year went on their shells were getting thinner and thinner despite all the oyster shells they were consuming. I was glad they stopped this winter because they really needed a break. The 5 young ones are taking over now so at least I've got eggs again.I’m up in Olympia WA which is pretty north, but I also have brand new layers who seem bursting with eggs!
What about a nice lukewarm bath in the spare bathtub? Warmth relaxes muscles…5. The bad news is I have one egg bound. Labored breathing, will eat mealworms but refuses to lay down. She is in a dog crate in the spare bedroom. Calcium given a few hours ago. Not much improvement in the last 6 hours.
Do you have Calcium gluconate? This was rec to Amiga [vet] for one of her females that was egg bound 1 ml liquid. TSC carries it. @DuckyDonna has used the cla glu with her ducks when having trouble laying and it has worked every time.5. The bad news is I have one egg bound.
