4, we went outside in the warm rain. George terrorized the hens that are not his and Quattro pulled our Georges feathers. so we are all put safely away in our separate flocks. But everybody got Rouen corkscrew today.

Three today I've got a fourth one on the way too! I have a pekin that feels that sunrise must be a conspiracy and she doesn't lay until later. It's quite funny on the days that she lays... she has a dance she does. Wiggle butt and squat ( very noticeable, lol)...then plop

I live in the Northeast. My 4 hens started laying in the fall and thankfully have been producing 3-4 eggs per day throughout the winter. I suspect that will change next winter though as they get older

WOO-HOO The girls are open for business! We've had our 4 khaki hens for 3 years and this was the first time everyone stopped production for almost 3 months.Did not expect this in central Florida. (In the meantime, our Pekin hen never stopped.) Incubator is keyed in and ready for eggs.

His 5 hens were apparently safe. He just wanted the other drakes hens. He got 7 oh the 8 but paid for his fun with some feathers.

what do you all do with your extra eggs? i don’t eat them and always give them away but when they go bad before i can give them away i have to throw out like a dozen eggs a week

I freeze them into little single serve trays (like silicone muffin trays) so that I can use them when the girls are not laying as much. I do still give some away though too.
