How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

picked up at TSC Labor Day weekend 2018. They started laying about 51 weeks ago

They shouldn’t be through yet. My oldest Runners and Buffs hatched April 2016 laid very consistently up until this past November. So far only one Buff from that group is laying, and my 3 youngest from last year.

I would say my Blue Swedish eggs are about 1-1/2 times the size of a Khaki egg. Gotta stagger then in a jumbo egg carton or they don’t fit lol. They are pretty big girls though and going on about 4 years old.

My Rouen and Rouen/Cayuga mix eggs are the same. I think I’m gonna have to special order cartons because I haven’t seen anything bigger than the large size cartons in stores.

Two eggs for the last few days. But there should be three because that’s what they were consistently doing since we got the ducks (3 girls, 2 boys), one is molting/growing in feathers so maybe that’s why? I hope she’s not hiding hers.

I thought our quail had stopped laying for the winter, but imagine my surprise when I found ten (!) eggs in their enclosure. And that’s between two hens!
No idea how long they’d been hiding them from me, but I found five more the next day, so I guess we’re back on our usual 2-3 a day!

They rarely lay when molting. What breed do you have?

Khaki campbells. She looked rough when we got her but her feathers look like they’re growing in now.

Got the first egg 3 days ago, up in Canada. I free range them during the day, and haven't found any out and about. They often lay eggs after released from the coop, so when the days get longer, I have to hunt for them. I would love a nest box of some sort I could put in the yard to encourage them to use it. Every time I find where they are laying, after a few days of me taking the eggs, they find a new spot. We have a pair Australian spotted ducks ( one duck, one drake) a pair of Indian runners and two mixed breed ducks. The male Indian runner is trying to mate with the tiny Australian spotted duck. She is not happy. She is over 3 so will see if she produces eggs this year or not. It is just the mixed breed that have laid so far
