How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I got 5 ducks (makes me suspicious ) and 9 chicken again. My roadside cooler of free eggs is working, so far I have given away one dozen duck eggs, one dozen chicken and one mixed dozen! I hope I have made 3 people’s day better and they have made mine better because I am not worried about waste!

Morning all. Got 6 eggs this morning. I found 5 in the same place, one was well buried under the wood shaving Another girl couldn’t wait to take the tour and laid it in the sleeping area. It’s windy this morning and they are a bit agitated.

Such clean eggs ladies. Good job

Was your female broody or just practicing?

I really don’t know. The wife says she goes back in the coop a few minutes after being let out in the morning but when I get home and peek around the house to see the pen, she is outside. I really was happy to find a Pekin egg today.

This morning I got 6 duck eggs but one cracked. My mama Cayuga eggs are more fragile than the others, I wonder if it’s age? They all get oyster shell..

In a side note I have given away 6 dozen eggs in my road side cooler, I’m almost through my surplus AND someone dropped of 20 cartons! How nice. They left their contact and I have met some new people which is fantastic since I have felt a little isolated and lonely since moving here.

I hereby dub this experiment a success
