How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Two gooseberries and (so far) five from the chickens. They tend to lay late, though. PLUS, one turkey egg- first ever. Yesterday I came home to 13 of the chickens and one goose one.

So far they're not fertile. It's their first year--American Buffs--and I don't think little buddy has his moves figured out yet. If they start making targets then I'll try hatching some, probably. Or maybe let them give it a go. Are the young ones good at it, do you know?

It takes them a while to get it. Are Young ones good at brooding? I’d say so my Toulouse was. Give her a chance. You can always take them an incubate if need to. But watch mama an papa with their goslings is a joy to watch.

Nope no thought bubble, just the look of who's box she's debating about taking over.

Pretty! I hope they like them. Most around here look at me like I am wanting them to eat a live duckling when I offer fresh duck eggs.

We gave duck eggs and chicken eggs to a friend. His son is allergic to eggs so he looked up duck eggs to see if they're the same as chicken eggs allergy wise ... His son isn't allergic I told them to come get some more. He got to enjoy eggs for the first time in 2 years.

He said his son was so excited and they cooked all the duck eggs as soon as they got home. He had no reaction so they're going to try it again. His son said he felt fine and everyone was overjoyed about it.

That’s awesome eggs are so good for us. And for a kid to like them is really good!
