How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

My children passed the first 9 years of their childhood, next to a cow farm in France, and they often played there. However, the farmer did not have poultry in the farm. So when I decided to start my urban raising ducks adventure here in US, it was the first time when they experienced how the eggs are hatched and saw those fluffy ducklings hatching from eggs. Thus, for them, each eggs has potentially a duckling inside We used to eat foie gras ... now they even don’t want to hear about.

What kind of calls?

I have been waiting patiently for my calls to start laying and brooding, I've got some freeloading East indies around here too, granted when they lay it will be in mud lined nest one mile down the creek.

I am not a call expert but the person that sent them to me had black bib, some that reminded me of welsh harlequins, snowy, I want to say grey, and maybe pastel. I am hoping for few snowy and white birds but love the colored ones.

Yes. The white tarp is much better than the green ones. It was more expensive but it will last you longer. I will remove it at the end of the month as we should no longer expect rain here in California.

Cute duckies in an adorable coop! Does it get any better?

My daughters still not touch the duck eggs but they will as I stopped buying chicken eggs. Waiting to see if they noticed

Got 6 eggs this morning but did not take the picture. One was so big that it did not fit in the eggs holder I have the person who is preparing my taxes every year coming over, and gifted him with those fresh eggs. He was very excited as he never eat duck eggs. He was telling that they were thinking about raising chickens but I may have changed his mind now, and he may start raising ducks

Well maybe I’ll give it a whirl. I don’t get how my Cayugas can be so jumpy but chase the vacuum...
