How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

When all the stores close we can eat duck eggs every other day. I am going to get twice the normal amount of feed tomorrow. People are going crazy in the stores.

I was thinking about the same thing haha My daughter‘s school closed for 3 weeks. She did not want to order pizza as before.. guess who is making it She will also have 3 weeks to take care of ducks as she said that they are running away when they see her..

It is even if it was cooked in the oven, as is windy outside to fire up the pizza oven. I have to keep her busy

Beginning on Tuesday all 5 of my girls started laying!!! Yay! I have gotten 5 a day since.

My brown runner uses the nesting box, but the chickens don't. I'm hoping the white runner will follow suit. The pekins dug out a hole for egg laying.I'm restlessly waiting for the white runner and cayugas to lay eggs. We have just started autumn here, what are the chances?

I believe that for the most part waterfowl lay in spring only, but domesticated ducks may be different, especially in a year-round warm climate with fairly uniform day lengths. Here where I live, even ducks, geese and turkeys old enough to lay will hold off for the lengthening days of spring.

How much daylight are you getting and how old? My first set of Runners hatched in late April 2016 they were breeding and laying 4.5 months later and laid straight for 18 months my last set that hatched April 2019 didn’t start laying until Feb of this year. I was really surprised since their parents started so young.
