I'm not sure on the age, either 1 or 2 (auction birds) atleast 14 hrs of sun aday, slightly more. The ones I hatched in September have been laying since christmas, but these older ones haven't yet. Guess they are still settling and may hold out till spring

4 today and K/C was not happy about me taking the eggs. Feed store had chicks for sale. Are they not as social as ducklings? Some were moving around and some were not. My experience with ducklings is they all eat, sleep drink, and get the zoomies all at once . Projectile poop can come anytime.

I share similar experiences. Ducklings are like women going to the bathroom, they just can’t seem to go alone. Sure one will start it then every one gets involved. Projectile poop or what ever activities they have decided on

5 duck 4 chicken and 1 Mauve Orpington broody. No eggs under her I took them.

I can say that I have never projectile pooped as a group with other women in a bathroom.... thank goodness

It’s only a matter of time now as I found the first real nest this morning! I’m not sure who made it, but everyone’s had a ton of sun in the past couple of days. Stay tuned.....

I got 7 eggs from 7 birds. The hybrids laid consistently all winter. My strays were less consistent, but they are also older. My previous record was 6, but one of the bullied strays is getting more relaxed time now that my bully hybirds are going outside.
