How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Only one egg today. Ebony had to rebuild her nest because I separated her and Houdini away from Courage and Wilamena after seeing the starts of a bald spot on Houdini last night.

Lots of turkey eggs. More chicken eggs. The geese are still holding-but-not-sitting on two eggs, but then it was 16° this morning and s'posed to be 5° tonight, so I'm not sure I'd be all "Lets lay MORE eggs!!!", either. (pout...fuss...whine...)

2! My pied Muscovy is now laying. She’s using the same nest as her sister. Daphne was even checking in on the eggs before I took them, making little quiet motherly quacks, although the eggs clearly weren’t hers, and she’s never been broody a day in her life! No signs of broodiness yet in either ‘Scovy. Both sisters are still trilling sweetly (vs. angrily chirping) and are spending all of their time foraging and swimming with Daphne. No doubt, my sweet girls will change soon, and I’ll miss how they are now

I have 2 Muscovy laying and one broody I keep taking her eggs but it makes no difference

4 warm eggs. I decided to test the fake broody K/C by opening the pen and letting everyone out for a while. She fled the nest and went with the flock. As cool as it was today she must have sat on everyone’s eggs all day. My coop and pen just are not ready for a broody.
