Just 6 eggs today, compared to 12 yesterday. The ducks are taking turns.

I am finding the remains of her eggs on occasion. I must think how to catch them out.

I received 3 lovely ducky eggs this morning. They were placed carefully in a cute nest they made in their fresh shavings.

The free loading chickens have gone to giving me a big bunch of nothin.
With all the molting going on I was surprised I was getting even one or two. Looks like I am adding chicken eggs to the shopping list too.

So you have an egg eater? Not an easy fix. I had a chicken hen who was an egg eater. I had to stay a step ahead of her and make sure to pick up every egg early. And check many times a day for late layer eggs

What makes them want to eat eggs, lacking calcium and or protein in their diet? Do they only eat their own eggs or it don't matter?

Do you have a local crow population? Remember my thread Dear crows, this means war‼ from this summer, i had crows sneaking into the duck-house, breaking the egg shells and drinking the content.

Boy they sure are brave! Maybe my 4 dogs and 2 geese make them have second thoughts. My egg eaters are the Blk snakes
