Careful with foam or styrofoam: My ducks love to shred anything foamy. Fortunately they don't eat that stuff, but it looked like snow in summer when they dug out that ol' styrofoam cooler from the previous property-owners…

The crazy ducks like eating snow, so I appreciate your warning.
The foam is outside the baby crib sections, but I will be sure to inspect it to make sure that they're not getting up to mischief.

We got our first eggs (three) Tuesday. I thought it was strange that 3 of our 4 ducks laid their first egg's on the same day. We got two yesterday. It turned pretty chilly last night so I am curious as to what that have laid this morning.

What's a dino egg?

Its a double or triple yoker that is more than twice the size of a normal egg for the breed.

6 today, one less we do not need anymore I’m hoping they’ll slow down, but every time I say please slow down they look at me like “yeah right” and then I get 7 the next day pfft

5 so far, will probably get two more. I have a molter feathers everywhere. At first I thought I had a raccoon.

No Christmas egg today, so the last egg waits on the counter for a fry pan mate. Plenty of food and a warm coop makes me wonder if I will get any more eggs until the days get longer. Possibly with the weather warming up the forage will improve and maybe that will help.
