How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I forgot to get eggs this morning. My main concern was getting water to the ducks.

I broke the ice in the pools and they have been in them. I wont be able to use the hose until Friday or Saturday so the water in them is what they get. The older ducks are all puffed up, sleeping while standing. The young ones are doing their normal thing. Young flock had four and the old had one.

14 tonight for me but @Texag87 will be even colder. We are not set up for this. I'm expecting plumbing burst tomorrow.

7! Out of 14 hens 7 are laying now. Yay! So exciting!

Of 5 eggs, 4 from the older ducks and an exciting first egg from the young ladies.

Found one more when I went out to bring them drinking water. Good thing I found it after I almost fell face first into their pool

Pretty excited! We found our very first egg today from our young ducks. Not sure which one of our three young ladies laid it. Our day time highs have been only a little above 32 degrees for the last couple weeks. So we were surprised when we found one today.

It is always exciting to in those first eggs. I'm finding 2 a day but frozen, and usually cracked. In a couple of months, I should be finding 9 a day. I sell my duck eggs but swap out duck eggs for peacock eggs so the ducks sit on those until hatching. ssshhh its a secret.
