I'm in the usual summer slump so sales are down. Gainesville is a major university town so we lose a lot of folks in June and July. Come late August and September demand will begin to increase. Sure hope so because I've got a lot of new birds that are going to start coming into lay next month!
2 dozen today . havent been able to take soldout egg sign down for the last 12 days . im getting a dozen a day and been selling as fast as i get them to people that show up anyway. i try to have 4 dozen in the fridge before i take the sign down but havent been able to . need about 10 more hens laying right now lol.
2 Dozen today for $3.00/dz. Have orders for 2 more tomorrow. Our 11 new GC's are finally laying but we're still getting 4 or 5 small bantam-sized eggs every day from them. But I also see some oversize eggs like we used to get from the other 19 hens when they first started laying. It'll take a while to get their systems in settle down. In the meanwhile we use all the small eggs and make omeletes every other night or so for dinner.
2 Dozen today. I sold 1 dozen of the normal large eggs for $3.00 and a lady at work took a dozen of the smaller eggs we've been getting from our Youngsters for $2.00. It's a good thing because I'm about burned out on omelettes almost every night....
