well-its morning and will collect eggs soon but yesterday I finally sold 5 dozen(1 person) as I raised the price from $1.50 to $2 a couple weeks ago because WE weren't getting any eggs to eat(now we get some because people are reluctant when you raise the price but... suits me)

I only sold 1 dozen today. It was to one of my Organic customers. He's so nice.

We like the raw milk. It can be costly. Our chickens are organic also so it's a fair trade.

I wish I could find raw milk.

I have been ill for a long time, and I am taking back the care of the chickens from my poor overworked husband. They have gone from laying about 18 eggs a day down to 4!

I know it is fall, but usually my chickens lay all winter without a stop, so what do you think? Do they MISS me?

I am trying to get them back up. Yesterday I made them a warm mash of cooked apple peelings and chicken food mixed in.

So we shall see if I can get them laying again.

4 dozen today for $3.00/dz. I've only got orders for 2 dozen tomorrow since a lot of people seem to be taking vacations this time of the year. These people have to realize that my Gals don't take the day or week off when they decide to take vacations. No way. They gotta lay. And I gotta pay for their feed...
