Hello!

I'm about to raise several Mexican Speckled Bobwhite cheepers, and am having difficulty finding out how many eggs they usually lay per year. I've read anywhere from 15-300, so if anyone has any personal experience with this, please let me know. Thank you!

I get about 5 eggs per week average per hen during the breeding season. To get the most eggs possible, you need 28% to 30% gamebird food and continuous crushed oyster shell on the side. However year round laying does take it's toll on the hens and can cause medical issues. It is always advisable to give them a couple months off per year. They will lay until the die and with the right conditions can live to be 7+ years old.
