How many eggs do you EAT a week?

Well, I just finished making French toast with a side of scrambled eggs for DH and I, and I went through 9.

We usually only eat them on the weekends, though (of course, I also used them for baking).

We have an awfully big family. Omelet night for everyone is about 20 eggs. Then we have quiche, another 20 eggs. Biscuits and fried egg sandwiches about 15 eggs if everyone is here. So just counting the three meals we always have every week we're talking about 55 eggs. If we throw in another breakfast (very likely) and some odds and ends like fried rice and individual "gotta have an egg" lunches, french toast or some other heavily egged delight it's going to go well over 60 eggs and this is with me not eating any btw.

I never really thought about it. But certainly Way more than before we had chickens. My DH loves to eat eggs now. I guess I will eat about 3-4 a week. But the rest of the family eats more than that.

Let me see. I eat about four a week, daugther about the same, husband about six.

so thats about 12 a week just for the three of us. Thats not counting that I've recently started giving my cat one egg a day.

I eat at least 2 a day. I enjoy 2 hard boiled eggs right after a work out its easy to pack along and eat it on the way from the gym to work
plus then sometimes i will have an egg salad sandwich while i am at work

Before the girls started laying it was almost none. Now with the luxury of awesome eggs I eat round about 6 per week. If the girls laid more I'd probably eat more. Hard to get more than one egg a day per chicken. Too many family and friends that we have to share with.

Hahaha. What my problem is is in the way I sort the eggs into eggs we keep for ourselves and eggs we save for giving away. The unsoiled ones go in a carton to give away and the soiled ones go in a carton for ourselves. Maybe I need to not clean out the nest box as often. Hahaha.
