How many eggs should you give a silky to sit on?

hi i have a silky broody hen, i have been collecting eggs and want to know any basic help,
e.g: how many eggs should you give her to sit on?
how long does it take them to hatch?
when they hatch what do you need to do?
any help would be apreciated

i once had a silkie set 2 dozen eggs
i know that is a bunch but we put a couple under her(15)
then she layed like 3 then a couple other hens also chimed in 18 hatched

I have two definitely broody Silkies and two that are part-timers (I should fire them!) and they are on 32 eggs and I'm dying to see when and if anything hatches because they are WAAAYYY overdue. I wish that I could perform a C-section on them.
